We are two weeks out from Election Day! Below are the candidates Artists 4 Democracy has endorsed in the November 5 election, for Los Angeles County as well as statewide and national offices. If you don’t see a particular race listed, we haven’t made an endorsement. There are a couple of races where we didn’t agree amongst ourselves - they’re listed below as “No endorsement.”
We encourage you to look at multiple voter guides before making your final decisions on your ballot, so at the bottom of the page you’ll find links to other resources. Please forward this Voter Guide to anyone else who might need it.
How to get through election night and the days (or weeks) to follow
The outcomes of the closest races won’t be clear on Election Night, and this probably includes the President. When the first results start to roll in, the media will revv up their “horse race” style reporting, saying that this or that candidate is “ahead” when in fact no one is winning or losing. They just haven’t finished counting all the votes.
We may have to wait days or even weeks until all the mailed ballots arrive, are counted, and the election officially certified. This is perfectly normal, and it’s a sign that our electoral system is safe and working well.
But conspiracy theorists and bad actors will use this gap to spread disinformation. Don’t fall for their lies, and please don’t re-share them. This might be a good time to cut back on social media and connect with friends. Cook a meal, read a book, make some art.
But first: VOTE
Then help everyone you know to vote too.
